“A timeless, joyful existence”

The Postberg Nature Reserve is a beautiful section of the panoramic West Coast Nature Reserve in the Western Cape. It is closed most of the year except for the months between August and October when almost every flower comes on display for all to admire. It is a spectacular sight.

Postberg also has a large concentration of game including, Eland, Cape Mountain Zebra, Bontebok and Springbuck. It is also a great birding area with many raptors, including the African Black Harrier.
The viewpoint from the top of Posberg provides a 360 degree vista of the Park and surrounding areas, including Saldanah Bay and Langebaan Lagoon. The large granite boulders provide shelter for many different plants and smaller mammals species, such as
Rock Hyrax (Dassie). You may also be able to spot Southern Right Whales and the endemic Heavisides’s Dolphin along the coastal sections of the park, as well as a few small buck and wildebeest.

Three farms were bought by a few farmers from Paarl and Franschoek for winter grazing for their cattle, Oude Post, Nieuwland and Kreeftebaai. The descendants of the seven original owners inherited the farms from their parents and eventually formed a syndicate to manage the farm. Farming was stopped in 1966 and they stocked the farm with game. In 1969 it was proclaimed as a nature reserve.

The sale is inclusive of one hundred (100) fully paid ordinary shares in Die Postberg Natuurreservaat (Pty) Ltd, registration number 05/02982/07. This includes the rights to the existing dwelling originally built in 1924, Postberg Nature Reserve.
